Broadcasting/Audio over IP
Announcements made easy
Whether ski lift or auditorium, school or shopping centre – public address systems can be operated via the telecommunications system anywhere. Open up new business opportunities by using 2N SIPSpeaker modules in the existing LAN/WAN network.
Audio-over-IP solutions enable announcements and audio streaming via the network and facilitate central administration as well as access time control and subdivision into zones.
The device can be used in e.g. medical practices, shopping centres, offices, public buildings, universities, security zones or workshops. Using the VoIP Gateway even remote sites such as car parks, ski lifts or bus stations can be operated acoustically via GSM/UMTS mobile communications.
The Satelco range includes two interesting IP/SIP audio modules which, in conjunction with the existing network or IPX communication system, enable creative customer solutions that were previously only available to specialised audio system manufacturers. They enable the transmission of Internet, radio and any audio signals as point-to-point & point-to-multipoint solutions via IP networks.
Which installations are required for Audio over IP?
The only thing you need to take advantage of broadcasting with this smart technology is an IP-Ethernet network.
An Ethernet network is a closed system that allows you to comfortably supply all devices with one cable. This is made possible by so-called switches. They allow the devices in the network to be supplied with power and data without the possibility of collisions - for example through data packets. This requirement is ideal for broadcasting in an IP network.
Is it also possible to retrofit Audio over IP?
Yes, of course. You can easily retrofit Audio over IP at any time.
The advantages at a glance:
The main advantage of Audio over IP in an Ethernet network has already been mentioned above: no separate cabling is required, which reduces the effort involved in installing and commissioning the system. In many cases, troubleshooting and repairs can also be carried out much more efficiently.
Audio over IP can also be used virtually anywhere. It is also extremely configurable, as the cabling does not need to be changed. Unlike traditional Internet connections or Wi-Fi, Audio over IP works constantly. Data transmission is therefore always guaranteed. This is a particularly valuable feature when it comes to important announcements in remote areas. Not using the public Internet offers another advantage: the transmission of sensitive content can be carried out with a high degree of security.
